FL Studio secret guide: Piano roll detect score scale

It's handy to know what key/scale you are working in when creating melodies for your music and FL Studio has an awesome tool that detects the key/scale of your piano roll score.

The first screen shot shows a typical FL Studio piano roll with some score data or notes placed on it. But we want to know what scale this score is in so that other accompanying melodies will complement our song.

Using the second screen shot as a guide click the drop-down arrow in the top left corner of your piano roll and mouse over 'helpers' then select 'detect score scale'.

In the third screen shot you will see a red border that outlines where the information about what scale your piano roll score is in will appear and to get this information to appear you just need to have your mouse cursor hovering over the piano roll score for this info to appear.
